What Are "Bear Bucks"?

Bear Bucks is the form of "currency" we use for amateur players payouts. Bear bucks can be used immediately or saved for future use. Bear bucks are given in the amounts of $1, $5, $10, & $20 during events.

How do your raffles work and why does everyone already get x1 ticket?

Northern Bear is known for our raffles and we work hard throughout the season to make sure there's plenty to go around by getting local and not-so local businesses together to donate items and cash strictly for our raffles! Every event we run has a raffle with various items ranging from baskets to sunglasses and gift cards ranging from $5-$50 each! Each player that registers and plays in an event is automatically thrown into the raffle with their name on the back of x1 ticket.

More tickets can normally be purchased during the event but it varies. We do however give you a credit in "Bear Bucks" for the amount paid for additional tickets. Meaning if x1 ticket =$25? You'll also get $25 in "Bear Bucks"!

The items used in our raffles are usually donated to us for free. Otherwise we use money donated to us by local businesses, membership tags, and monthly donators to buy additional items if we feel there isn't enough! Overall the items are free to us, we only feel it's fair if they're free to you!

What's the difference between shotgun start & tee time?

Shotgun Start is where everyone starts at the same time on different holes throughout the course. Normally in groups of 4 or 5. For example, "Card-A" starts on hole 8 at 9:00am while "Card-B" starts on hole 9 at the same time.

Tee Time is when a group of 4 or 5 start on a designated hole at a specific time all throughout the day. Normally with 10-20 minute increments. For example, "Card-A" starts on hole 1 at 9:00am while "Card-B" starts on hole 1 at 9:10am and so on.
